Extremely disappointed

Signed up with their relaunch deal they had for April. You you have to pre-book a session online to attend the gym - It is now been nearly a month and I have had no luck in booking a gym session due to their site.

The most overly-engineered website…

The most overly-engineered website imaginable. If the design brief was to frustrate anyone who tries to book anything, then Everyone Active, your mission has been accomplished! Sort it out!

Absolutely and unequivocally NO

So 12/04 came and I, like thousands, decided to join the gym; I have signed up online and within the 15mins I have received a confirmation email of my direct debit, shockingly stating that instead of £29.99, I will be paying £89.97 each month. On top of everything there was a charge to my account at the amount of £29.99!!When you try to contact anyone-> it’s via their enquiry form (no confirmation email, therefore no proof of sending anything and also no idea if anyone is actually getting/reading it). Their phones are unanswered..HUB has you running in circles.I completely understand that their site and app run into some difficulties, however joining a gym should not be such a stressful experience. Would not recommend this company, even though I am sure that there are many competent employees within the company...for me however it’s a no.

The app is awful

The app is awful. Just going round and round the same screens, shows me dates and times to book a swim but when I put my details in, it says my facility isn't offering anything. Did manage to get through to a really helpful manager at my local facility (after 24 hours) who explained what the problem is (I'm a non member so can only book 5 days in advance), but this wasn't at all clear through the online booking system. Also I had forgotten my password and Everyone Active card number after a year - you can't get your password reset without the card number. Felt like a black hole, I just kept going through the same problem repeatedly only to find no resolution. Don't think I'm particularly thick or computer illiterate, this system is just awful, not intuitive and clunky. Good luck booking a 50 minute swim for the kids...

Charging me £15 a month more than new members!!

I joined two years ago, I was paying £38 a month which was fair, I’m now paying £40 a month as it’s been increased. During covid I was asked if I’d like pay my monthly membership anyway even though the gyms were closed and they would fix my membership for life. My Mum joined 5 days ago and has got the same membership for £25 going up to £33 in May next year. Are they serious??? Want me to pay while I can’t use it and then offer membership to someone else for £15 a month cheaper?!!! I’m cancelling because they’re a joke.

Poor customer service and booking system

I wanted to go for a swim, i tried to call many times but i never had the opportunity to talk to anyone. I tried to book a slot without membership paying with my debit card using my pc. Received a message that the payment didn't go through. I tried selecting another slot, the same result. I tried downloading the app with the same result. Once i checked my email i have noticed that they actually took the money from my bank account (4 times) but i wasn't able to book any slots. I asked for a refund and i received the first reply from customer service after 3 or 4 weeks and i am still waiting for it, they are asking me things that they should already know (like my membership number that i am not sure i have). It's not possible to book by phone, actually no one have ever replied to my calls (i have called maybe 20 times letting the phone ring for quite long time)

Very displeased. Stay away from everyone active

The payment regime is very complex, so you're definitely going to be confused. Even some staff are confused by it. For example, for the gym, they charge the final month (after you ask to cancel) during the first direct debit. They are incredibly opaque about this, and it requires the higher levels of membership team to fully explain it to you. It is insane. The swimming lesson memberships have a £20 admin fee, even though it is much less complicated than the gym membership.Although they say it is a monthly rolling contract, their payment regime effectively makes it a 3 month minimum contract.

Do not enter into a contract with…

Do not enter into a contract with Everyone Active.I cancelled my annual membership in July and I am still waiting for a refund of approximately £160. Despite numerous telephone calls, emails and a letter I am still waiting for my refund. My local newspaper stated last month that Warwick District Council has agreed to pay Everyone Active a £1million subsidy. This is a sure sign that they are in financial difficulty. I would not want to see Everyone Active collapse, in these difficult times for the leisure industry, but £160 is not an insignificant amount of money and I am now looking at taking legal action to retrieve my money.

Misleading sales pitch - not interested in honouring their sales obligations

Extremely disappointing - misleading sales pitch. Paid for annual membership which is meant to include hot yoga classes (additional cost at my centre). However I am still being charged again (£14 per class) if I want to book any yoga classes. After 41days, I am still waiting for "head office" to activate my yoga sub and there is no way for the local centre to activate it, even though they agree this should be included in my membership. No word from head office and no response, not interested in honouring their sales obligations. It's a shame as I actually quite like the instructors and people at the gym, however I cannot support companies who mislead their customers and have no regard for basic honesty in conducting business. Avoid.

Avoid like a plague - You can join but cannot cancel the membership!!

Avoid Everyoneactive like a plague! You can join this place but cannot cancel the membership! Post lockdown, I decided to cancel the swimming lessons for my child and contacted the Becontree Heath Leisure Centre in person. I was told that cancellations can no more be done in the centre and I need to send a request for cancellation through the Enquiries link on Everypneactive website.I did and there was no response. I did again and again. But no response. I then realized that I was being charged for services I do not avail. I have now cancelled the DD with my bank. But I have read many reviews from others where Everyoneactive has started charging via DD despite cancelling the DD with the bank. This is fraud and this fraud needs to be dealt with asap in a concerted manner by reporting Everyoneactive to the authorities.
